Here are some of my favourite nudist beaches from around the world, and why I think they should be included in your Gaycation! So have any of your favorite gay nude beaches made the list?

Before I started travelling the only nude beach I had ever ventured onto was Eastney in Portsmouth, UK which was not Gay at all. Yes the UK, it was a cold dreary day on a pebbled beach with some saggy boobs and no gay men in sight.

That all changed once I started travelling, and dipped my toes into gay nude beaches. Now I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the most gorgeous guy on the beach but I don’t care. Everyone can enjoy a good nudist beach no matter what they look like! Staring at all the hot ripped guys on the nudist beaches in Sydney did make me feel a bit body-conscious, but after a bit of time you get used to it and we don’t all have the aesthetics of a god!

Little Congwong Beach, Sydney

Little Congwong Beach, holds a special place in my heart when it comes to gay nudist beaches because it’s the most inclusive gay nudist beach I have ever come across. There is a huge mixture of guys on this beach from bears who are regulars to more shy twinks. When I first visited I was the more shy twink who didn’t know where to sit or where to look! Sydney has a total of four gay nude beaches all of which I visited, but for me, this one is my favourite.

This beach is located south of central Sydney and can easily be reached either by bus or taxi. If getting the bus you have to walk across Congwong beach. Whatever you do, don’t take your speedos off here as it’s a family beach. Keep walking to the end of the beach and you will find a small walking track, take this route and you will reach Little Congwong in no time. 

If you are looking for cruising, you need to head along the rocks along the southern end of the beach you will see others walking onto the rocky area. Walk around the rocks pop your towel down and enjoy the fun!

Playa Del Muerto Beach, Sitges

Any post about gay nudist beaches wouldn’t be complete without a mention of one of the world-famous gay beaches in Sitges. Playa Del Muerto Beach is exclusively gay, well not officially but my gaydar was off the scale when I was there. The beach isn’t the sandiest or the most aesthetically pleasing in Stiges but it’s very secluded. I would recommend taking a thick towel as it’s a difficult beach to get comfortable on.

The beach is located to the west of Sitges and does require a long walk to get to, it took me around 40 minutes to get there from Platja de les Anquines. Take loads of water and some good walking shoes, there is a small cafe next to the beach so you can get refreshments if needed while on the beach.

The beach is popular with all sorts of gay guys, why? It’s linked to the forest behind which is just over the railway tracks. This is a great meeting place if you want to have a little bit of naughty fun!

Meat Rack Beach, New York

Ok so it’s not called Meat Rack Beach, it’s The Pines – Cherry Grove on Fire Island! The first thing I recommend you do is read the hilarious Google reviews on the Meat Rack. The innuendos are worthy of a stand-up performance. This gay nude beach is worth a day’s visit from New York, especially since its huge growth in popularity over the last few years because of shows like ‘Fire Island”. Everything about Fire Island is expensive so if you’re a budget traveller like me, make sure you save where you can.

Getting there is reasonably simple, just get the public ferry across to Fire Island. I recommend you get the train from New York as parking any cars in the area is a hassle and expensive! Just note that the walk from the ferry is another 20 minutes. If you can afford it stay in the area overnight because a large chunk of your day will be taken up by travelling otherwise.

The forest area in between Cherry Grove and The Pines is pretty much an anything-goes area so get in your smallest swimwear and see who else is looking for fun! You never know you might end up with a review on The Meat Rack!

Zen Beach, Koh Pha-ngan

So this is the only Nudist beach I have ever come across in Asia, this is because nudism isn’t widely accepted in Asia. This is a hippy beach with backpackers and young partygoers, not many people are nude in the day but as the sun starts to set loads of people get their kit off, especially if you head north up the beach (right when facing the ocean). This is not known as a gay nude beach so it’s worth logging onto Grindr while you are there as loads of backpackers are looking to experiment.

Getting there is easy if you have rented a moped, just park it up next to the beach for a small fee and enjoy. Otherwise, just order a taxi bike and walk as the island is reasonably small.

If you are looking for fun on this beach I would strongly recommend you go back to your hostel or hotel. If you are caught here by the authorities you are going to end up at the police station.

Kasjuni Beach, Split

This nudist beach is located right at the end of the spit in Split. So worth a look even if you don’t fancy getting your kit off. When I was there it was the height of summer and very crowded, the crowd was mostly made up of locals who were gorgeous Eastern Europeans. The main area is a mix of straight and gay, but if you head to your right (when looking at the sea) past Joe’s beach bar it will get gayer and gayer.

To get to the beach via the bus, just jump on the number 12 towards Kasjuni Beach. Use Google Maps to help you know when to press the button, but if it is the summer you will know when to get off because all of the gays will jump off as well. If you are driving there is plenty of parking nearby just note that you will have to pay for the privilege.

Looking to spice up your visit to Kasjuni Beach, keep going further along to the right. It will get more rocky and uncomfortable but you will see some naughty sights. I just dropped my towel here for the afternoon and enjoyed chatting with the local guys.

Paralia Elia, Mykonos

Mykonos, known as the “The Island of the Winds” had to be mentioned here. Elia Beach is one of the longest beaches on the island and the most popular. Here you will find a huge mix of gay guys, I’ve been told it’s popular with daddies and their twink admirers. Once you get to the beach head to the right (when looking at the ocean) guys will be more nude the further you go.

The beach is located only 7km from the gay area in Mykonos so if you fancy the walk go for it, just take loads of water. A better option in my opinion is to rent a buggy for a number of days and use that to get around the island. The cost is around €125 per day for a two-person buggy.

Looking for fun at this beach keep heading further and further right over a rocky area and you will stumble on a smaller more private beach. This is where you will most likely see naughty things happen! Just note it can be quite tricky getting to this beach so wear some good shoes!

Lady Bay Beach, Sydney

Another nude beach in Sydney! Yep, there are loads dotted around the city and this was the first ever beach I had ‘fun’ on. So it holds a small space in my heart! Fair warning this beach is very open to the public as a famous walking route is situated above it. The beach itself is not that great being in the harbour but it is easily accessible and has a mixture of guys.

To get there you can either get the ferry from Circular Key or get the bus. The bus is cheaper but the ferry is more fun plus if you have great eyesight you might see some talent on the beach from the ferry! Just hop onto Google Maps and see what’s easiest for you! 

If you want to be a little naughty on your visit to Lady Bay you need to keep heading to your right when looking into the harbour, you will see nude men rock climbing into more secluded surroundings. It might be better to ask a local to show you the ropes as this can be quite dangerous!
